We Are An Abrasive Flow Media Company Based In The Eastern United States
Abrasive flow media is critical to the AFM process. An abrasive flow medium is a semi-solid putty-like material that consists of one or several abrasive materials mixed with a base polymer or carrier. The abrasive materials can range in size from fine talcum-like particles to objects the size of small rocks or pebbles.
Deburring and Finishing Technologies offer customers several different types of abrasive flow media to select from.
Are You Experiencing Issues With Your Current Supplier?
Is the abrasive flow media you’re currently using clogging or separating?
Deburring and Finishing Technologies has the capability to tweak or re-engineer our media to fit your specific needs. We offer over 50 types of media for any situation. Our media comes in 3 ½ gallon or 5-gallon sizes.

Our Most Popular Media For Sale
NM-1000-.33 small hole polishing/sizing in holes ranging from .005 to .020. Typical applications are diesel spray nozzles and fuel rails.
LV-150-1.5 (Low viscosity, 150 grit silicon carbide abrasive, at a ratio of 1.5# to 1# of the total chemistry) is one of our most widely used abrasive media. Typical applications are aluminum and vinyl extrusion dies for EDM “recast” removal with profile openings of around .020.
HV-54-2 is another popular choice. HV-54-2 has a very high viscosity and is stiff enough for large holes and castings, with a 54 grit abrasive of 2 to 1 to improve the finish in castings and large interior dimensions.
STM-1200-3 (shear thinning media) gel-like abrasive flow media for diesel spray nozzles.
DIAMOND ABRASIVE FLOW MEDIA is used for polishing of hard-to-machine carbide dies.
